Hierarchy of Beneficiary
The benefit of your life insurance plan is paid to you as the insured or, if you pass away, to the named beneficiary living at the time of claim. If there is no living beneficiary or if the named beneficiary is disqualified by law, the order below will be followed for the payment of claims:
The insured’s
(1) Widow or widower;
(2) Surviving legitimate, legitimated, and legally adopted children;
(3) Surviving illegitimate children;
(4) Surviving parents;
(5) Surviving brothers and sisters of full blood;
(6) Surviving brother and sisters of half blood; or
(7) Executors, administrators, or assigns.
